Howdy. Just got my first Dalton (Assassin), but I have been using autos for years. My first was a Microtech Socom Elite, and now I EDC a modified Gerber 06. Okay, intro is complete. Carry on......

I installed a Mega-Torque spring from knifekits.com about a month after I bought it. The action of these Gerber is notoriously slow from the factory, but the new spring drastically improved that. Not too long after that I added my own knurling to the spine and two-toned the blade as shown below.

Very cool! I need to do that for my Gerber. .50 Spring, right?

Yup, the biggest one they have. Have you ever had yours apart?

Yes, a couple of times to see if I could speed it up by some means. Pretty straight forward by auto standards. Did the .50 spring drop right in?

Welcome and don't be afraid to ask any questions! We were all new to Dalton knives at one time and there isn't alot of info out there on them except for here. We are glad to have you!
