    Default Firewood/Fireplace

Finally got the firewood split and stacked. And a historical note on fireplaces. Most of you guys remember the old radiator heaters. Before people had electricity they put a piece of cast iron in the back of the fireplace. After it gets hot it pushes the heat out the front. Pretty neat and they still sell them and they are called firebacks.image.jpg

Ed, what kind of wood is that? Some of it looks reddish, like some kind of pine or cedar, but I know that you know better than to burn red cedar or pine in your fireplace.

No pine or cedar. Most of it is fresh cut oak with a little maple. $60 for a cord, not bad! Dale would you please do something with the picture. Thanks, Ed B

Here you go ED. This won't cause any strained...or sprained necks anymore!
