Thread: Great Deal: 99 cents for Lubricants

  1. Default Great Deal: 99 cents for Lubricants

I follow slickdeals every day for great deals on consumer goods. There is a great deal on a lubricant called NANO ProMT for 99 cents. You can choose free in store pick up at any Lowes store. Does anyone have any experience with this lubricant and would it work well with knives? Here is a link to the deal:

Alex, I went to my local Lowes on Sunday and they were sold out of this product. I've never used it before but for .99 I would have tried it.

If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.

They were sold out in most stores in Houston. I was able to find two cans.

As far as lubricants go, the best I have ever used is called Fluid Film. It's based on Lanolin, a 100% natural compound also called Wool wax, a natural water repellant ester that comes from ...Sheep. Trust me, if you put Fluid film on a metal surface there will be no more rust. Period, so long as it is not wiped off or removed. This is perfect for spraying on high carbon blades or non-stainless high carbon Damascus blades for storage or show. Can also bu used to lubricate the pivots of knives.
The Department of Highways, and the Parks and Recreation dept in Minnesota and Wisconsin use this stuff in large amounts to keep their snow plowing equipment and the under carriages of trucks and plows in top shape. It is crazy good stuff. You can buy a can of it off amazon, and most recently Lowes, and your local John Deere Dealership. It isn't exactly cheap. But, it is the best stuff I have ever used, and it will not evaporate or get sticky if used on the pivot of a knife. I have been using this stuff for a few years now. Bad ass shit. Once you use this stuff wD40 is nothing but a distant memory. I can't stress enough how much I like this product. Read the reviews and you can understand how the product works. I can go on and on , but won't.
