Thread: Introduction

  1. Default Introduction

Hello -- I found the site while looking for a new Dalton knife. I just lost my Gatekeeper while working in Sierra Leone. I'm looking for another Dalton for everyday carry, with thick tanto blade -- still deciding what I want. Thanks for having me.

I wish I had a good story to tell, but nothing exciting -- I just lost it somehow. I've had it since '98 and its been all over the world with me, so I'm definitely not happy about it.

You sure you lost it? I just found a knife I've been looking for over a year. My wife says I have to many knives and lost track of it. I say she moved it. Welcome to the sick and twisted. ILK

I recently sold my double Gatekeeper, however the Gripper has the same blade with a Chisel grind and I have a double. If you are interested, pm me...Al

I would definitely snatch up that gripper if you can. I have two of them and they are one of my favorite Dalton's. The carved sections of the scales give you fantastic grip, and the action on the blades is quick with a tight lock up.

Sorry you lost your blade overseas. I hope whoever finds it really deserves it and it doesn't go to a diamond mine slave lord or something.

Let us know what you wind up going with and welcome to the forum!

I have to agree with CC... At first I thought I was a....l hmmm... Hideous design. Until I held one and it literally became one with my hand... Very cool "gripping" design.

I bought a gripper when I bought the gatekeeper, and wound up selling it to a friend -- very nice knife, but I like the gatekeeper better.
