spider is known as the one which collects information from the webpages present all over the world in the form of cache or saving copies of webpages in the search engine servers.
crawler is a process or program which will systematically browses all the websites present all over the world in order to index those datas in search engines.

robots is also a type of file or program which can be used to instruct the robots about how to crawl and index the pages present in their website.

Bots try to gain access to the forum to post links to spam

so basically the 100 lurkers are programs collecting data or trying to gain entry into the forum, not actual people
