The Small Assassin was a dealer special made for Excaliber Knives in Ohio. It is basically a pocket-sized version of the full sized Assassin, but with the top edge unsharpened. 201 small Assassins were made, with 105 (sn 000-104) black handles and 96 (sn 105-200) OD green handles. These knives also sported the Excaliber logo – a skull (with bandanna) over crossed daggers. This model was first announced on 27 April 2004. There were 10 Protos of each color, the black ones being SN 11-20 and the green ones being SN 115-124. The first 10 pieces of each handle color were reserved as low serial number pieces and were not marked as Protos. These first two groups had beadblast blades.

Finally there were 20 pieces made with Damasteel Damascus blades. The Damascus blades were installed in the last 10 handle sets of each color – sn 95-104 for black and sn 191-200 for OD green. Two of these were made with 5-turn damascus in black handles and the remaining eighteen damascus pieces split evenly between Damasteel Odin’s Eye and Infinity pattern damascus. The damascus piece below has one of the two 5-turn blades.
