~agoraphob~I noticed the North Star scales are available with the standard black and camo anodization seen on many models. In addition, for this knife, I see where a "clear coat" option is also offered. Can anyone provide me with more info. on this ? Thanks,Dave.skull0

Looks like he isn't going to anodize some of them. I asked MM if I could have this done in the past and was told it wouldn't look good, probably because he didn't want to take the time involved to make it look right, since I was the only one asking and I don't blame him.

I ordered one in clear with a satin blade. So what is clear? I'm assuming that it will look like the picture on the website. I must have fifty black handled knives. :( At least, this looks different!

Just received an e-mail from Ms. Charlotte,"The alum handles will be bead blasted lightly then the platers will do a clear coat(no color) anodizing."
Hope that clears up any confusion.

Denice -- Thanks for the clarification. Now most anxious to see/handle the end results. Best Regards, Dave H.

My guess is that the clearcoat is what we've been calling silver. Not a common color, but used on a few of the older models, including the Ranger ,Guardian Angel, Hunter, AFO, Jackal and Companion among others. I ordered my Northstar in clearcoat.

Clear sounds pretty cool! Can't wait to see it.
