Hi gang,
I just received my new CDE 1 from John Kinoff. Another great buying experience! I really like this knife. It is a great size, with an overall length of 9 1/8 inches and a blade length 0f 3 7/8 inches. Because of all of the cutouts, it is not overly heavy like a big knife can be. It's a serious looking knife with a hard "Dalton snap". Not every Dalton comes extra sharp from the factory like Microtechs, Protechs, Benchmades tend to be. If you want them "shave sharp" you have to carefully do that yourself. Not every collector wants to attempt to do this, for fear that they will reduce it's future value, particularly if you aren't really good at touching them up, without it being apparent. This knife is an exception! It is sharp on BOTH sides. Most of Dalton double edge folders have one side that is false sharp for closing purposes. Because of the holes you can grab the blade and then use the back flat section for final closing. Don't play with this knife after a few drinks or it will be a challenge! It's a great knife, very sharp on both sides, that would make a "potential threat" crap in their shorts, just at the sound and sight of it. http://www.daltonforums.com/images/smilies/dragonroar.gif
