Probably not for everyone, but I like it. I'm interested in seeing what it looks like after the anodizing. Kind of reminds me of the Diablo that never made it into production. ILK~zombie ILK

I dunno about you guy`s but ever since THE DARK SIDE of Dalton knives has shown itself I`ve lost interest. I mean come on Knives for the sick & twisted is one thing but SATAN`S KNUCKS, GOTHIC FOLDERS, Drink of our blood live for ever WHAT THE !!! whats next a Cathlic Priest folder with a little boy engraved on the handle??? this is not good mojo, are these knives being requested to be built and if so why are they even being given a second thought??? Dalton knives were out there in the design department I`ll give them that, But when you cross over to the DARK SIDE you enter a totally different realm. Im out... over the years I`ve collected 100`s of dalton`s and very much enjoyed everyone`s threads be it good or bad, it was a great place to meet new friend and talk about upcomeing designs, I pretty much started out on the ground floor of the Original Dalton forum years back & man it was a trip... I wish everyone the best but this just isn`t for me.

Definitely an unexpected direction from the old hard use knives? They seem to be experimenting where the machining can take the designs? I don't know about the "drink our blood" line, sounds corny.
Some of the gothic line of knives could be interesting though.

I definitely like seeing Rob express himself. If this is not fun for him, then we may end up with infinite runs of cupids, GA's, SEALs, Scouts, etc.

But it is FUNNY. I really don't think designs like SATAN'S KNUCKS are intended to be taken seriously. They are a novelty item. A really cool novelty item that you can beat people with.
Listen, I've studied Comparative Theology all my life. I know the History of most of the world's religions. It is very well documented how the image of "Satan" evolved in Medieval art . . . and why. When Der Khurch did invade and conquer new territory via genocide and inquisitions (the first Holocausts and the first Gestapo), the FIRST thing they did was to outlaw and "demonize" the native religion. Hence, "Satan" looks like an almagram of Pan, Dionysus, and the Horned God of various native religions.
While I do acknowledge the existence of evil spirits, "Satan" as the Xians know him, is a myth.
And as for "Satanism", it comes in a number of forms. The standard formalized form is a non-religious philosophy, almost exactly like the personal philosophy of many politicians, Korporate CEOs, and religious leaders. It is selfish, misanthropic, and sociopathic -- but well within legal parameters. It has nothing to do with devil worship. "Devil worshippers" tend to be delusional ignoramuses looking for justification for their freakish urges . . . or they're teenagers looking to shock their parents . . . or lousy musicians hoping to boost sales through bad publicity. But I digress . . .
Cool knife. Cool knucks. Sales may be poor on such unusual designs, but the detailing combined with lack of popularity will probably make these the most collectible of Dalton's designs . . . if you're collecting for investment purposes. After they've sold out I expect the price to go up very quickly.

As for the "Goth" knives; I am withholding judgement -- Rob's Muse goes her own way -- his art immitates satiristic clones and jerks-around tongue-in-the cheek teenage, luke-warm,death-wish fantasy blades which substitute auto-action for jerkin'the Gherkin! Don't forget--Vampires are bummed-out because they CAN'T die !

Like it or not, at least Mr. D is coming out with a new knife to keep you guys happy. It can't be easy to come up with a new design every couple of weeks.
Cut him some slack!
Personally, I'd like to see him continue with the Goth line, while continuing with his "regular" knives too. The "regular" for use, and the Goth for art/collectability. I've seen (and I'm sure everyone else has) hundreds of Goth knives in movies/TV shows that I would LOVE to own if they were available and not just stage props. THIS might be our chance to own a few of them! :)

I agree with tyr! I am pretty new to the Dalton lineup, but the Gothic knives are very interesting. It is always nice to mix things up. Someone who pumps out so many different designs has to step outside the box every once and awhile to keep it in perspective. I'll bet the future has some even better stuff! Paul

When I saw the knuckle's, when I was on Blade HQ, I thought, "What the Hell?" However, it is the most amazing design I have ever seen in Knuckles. Then I saw that a Black Knife called the offering was released. I spent about 3-4 hours searching for the Red Dalton Offering. Now, I have a matching set. It freaks everyone out. ~burnt
Yes, it's just a novelty to me. As with all religions and mythology, these are just a bunch of symbols to me. devil0
Should I buy a RED Chain to wear the knuckles around my neck like Flavah Flave?
I figure if someone says, "Give me your wallet", I can retort "Only if you give me your soul" while showing my Satan's Knuckles and Dalton Offering Knife. Now if there is only a Matching 1911 to go with this. Maybe I can get one Duracoated to make the Trifecta.

And just who the fuck to you think you are? First you call my friend a faggot, then you decide who is worthy of posting on MY forum????
What makes you think you are worthy to post on this forum? You've got 6 posts and not one of them have contributed anything.
Post some of the knives you have, discuss with decency, keep the name calling out of it.
You're floating on thin ice right now, take this as a warning, you don't like the rules here find someplace else to get your kicks.....
