The CQB-Mini has also been called the ATAK. I don't know if the Daltons originally named this knife. It is a smaller (6 – ˝? OAL) version of the CQB7 with plain handles (no rubber inserts). It uses the barrel type spacers between the handle halves – same as the CQB7. These use a narrow pocket clip that is similar to the more modern Dalton pocket clip, but is a bit more rounded at the end and the clip attaching screws are dome headed. I estimate these as late 1996 or early 1997 production. They were not serialized, but have the “USA" engraving on the rear part of the front scale. I have only seen these with tanto blades, but the blade thickness may be 1/8? or 3/16?. The normal etched Dalton logo was applied to the blade and some blades were also etched “ATS 34? as shown above. Beadblast blades are the most common, but some 2 tone blades exist. It is possible that there are some full satin or high polished blades in circulation.

The dimensions of the CQB7 Mini:

Overall Length: 6 – 1/2?
Blade Length: 2.66 – 2.74"
Blade Thickness: 0.128 or 0.188"
Handle Thickness: 0.494? or 0.554? (not including the pivot or clip)
