Q: Dalton pre 98 ?

Why is pre 98 and after 98.

I think the Pre-98 separation came about when Bladeauction provided a separate section for them.

I think if you're going to separate older models from newer models it should be Pre-99 and 99+ . My understanding is that the Daltons didn't get automatic blade grinding machines until 1999 and that pre-99 models all have hand ground blades. That's my understanding.....not necessarily a fact.
