I found a little mom and pop operation called Borestores that will make you a custom soft case to store your knuck and interrigators in. They were very reasonably priced and really give great protection. I had several made 3" x 5" for my brass knucks.
Just thought I'd pass the info along..........not trying to sound like a cmmercial.
If this post shouldn't be here just move or delete with no hard feeling.

Do you think the silicone treatment helps any with keeping the brass from tarnishing? Some oils will stain brass and copper.

Mark,
Seems like the Simichrome polish I use on my Case XX knives has some silcone in it to delay the tarnishing process, but I'm not a scientist. Maybe something to look into.

I bought an 8 drawer wooden toolbox from Harbor Freight for around $100.00.
It locks, and the drawers are all lined with felt. It is more of a display box that a tool box. It has 2 drawers each with 4-spaces perfect for knives and the other drawers house Knuckles and some of my larger knives. I will have to post some pic's when I get a chance.

I use Ren wax.
No staining problem, and does protect all my knives, including brass, for a decent amount of time.
The brass still needs to be polished, but it isn't as tarnishedas it would be without the Ren wax.
If you want a permenant shine, I think you'd have to coat it with several coats of clear lacquer????
