We don’t intend to cover absolutely every variant out there. There are just too many small runs and one-of’s out there to try to cover them all.
The VALUE column will be an average of all the participants who provided input for that variant. Since it will be an average of up to eight collectors spread across the country, I’m comfortable that this is about as accurate as we can reasonably get. For my own estimates, I am basing the values on a combination of data from forum sales over the last few years, dealer prices for newer in-stock models and my own personal opinion as to what a particular model/variant is worth. I recommended to participants that the values be based on “normal” market conditions. You can estimate a correction factor to take a weak or strong market into account.
Values assume a mint condition knife. Note that the values listed assume mint condition and "standard" or "base" configuration unless otherwise noted. Value of Protos or Shop Protos may be higher. 2-tone blades, satin blades or filework would also tend to increase value above the base variant.
